Those of you taking a peek at Issue Two of our lovely tome might have glanced upon our slightly tongue-in-cheek ‘hype’ of the WikiRace game. For those not in the know, it all revolves around the idea of getting between two seemingly unrelated Wikipedia pages just by clicking on inter-site links. It’s strangely fun, but it’s not really a game as Another Castle knows them, more a set of rules.
Except now. Now it’s a game.
Another Castle resumes normal service next week. Hang on in there!

The mag’s out and lying around, mostly next to your usual source of Felix. If you have a few minutes to spare, go pick up a copy. Personally, as someone who never bothers checking out the finished product until someone forces me to, I’m pretty damn impressed by the attention to detail shone on this issue by Tomo, Mike and Az. It looks absoutely fantastic.
And the content ain’t half-bad either.

Mutiny within the ranks: Mirror’s Edge is awesome

The second issue of the magazine has only just hit the news stands and there’s already a drastic civil war being waged inside the dungeons of Another Castle. A certain Samir reviewed DICE’s recent first-person platformer for Issue 2 awarding it two stars, essentially pointing out that whilst Mirror’s Edge is a good game, the repetitious sound of breaking bones as you plummet 40-floors to your death and the designers’ decision to make combat mandatory later on in the game made for an experience too frustrating to be worthy of glowing praise.
